Learn How to Access Wi-Fi in New Ford Vehicles

Throughout our new Ford lineup you're going to find an impressive array of features, and one that appeals to those who always want to be connected on the go is our Wi-Fi hotspot through SYNC® 3 and FordPass™ onboard nearly every vehicle here in our showroom. But, what a lot of people don't know is how to set it up once they get it, and we're going to show you how!

If you have FordPass™ Connect, you can check to see if your Ford vehicle offers Wi-Fi capability. Generally, all new Ford models are going to, but this applies to folks who have a Ford model that is a few years old, too. To activate the Wi-Fi, you have to go through AT&T to get a data plan that will provide you with that access on the go, which you can find through the app. From there, you can use it by going to settings, then Wi-Fi and Hotspot settings to see if your hotspot is on in the central display. You can also set a personal password to log in and take a look at the data your using in the display, or via your app.

With the Wi-Fi hotspot you can use up to 10 devices and have a range of around 50 feet, so it makes for a good way to stay connected on camping trips and other activities as you travel. You're also going to get the first three gigabytes of use free from Ford when you purchase a new Ford vehicle. You and your passengers are going to be thankful when you sign up for it, as it provides standout entertainment, convenience and more with streaming and wireless access on the go.
