DeNooyer Automotive Statement on Shelter in Place Order

DeNooyer Automotive is committed to the health and safety of both its workers and the community and as such, is taking all precautions to close non-essential business functions for the duration of Michigan's shelter in place order through April 13th, 2020 including sales. There are some segments of our business that have been deemed critical infrastructure with regards to transportation services and therefore, Service and Parts Departments will remain open as "essential businesses" until further notice.

In the interest of our workers and the community's health we will be limiting our hours (7:30am-6pm Monday-Friday) of service and reducing staff on property to absolute minimum levels during this time. We are limiting all services to appointment only to best comply with the shelter in place order. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we limit our services while still trying to provide the essential infrastructure to our community.

If you require any of our services during this time, we are continuing to take significant disinfecting measures with our facility and your vehicle, and will have complimentary pickup and delivery service to limit exposure. For those customers that will be visiting us, here is what we are doing to ensure your safety at our dealership:

  • Each weekend and regularly throughout the week, after hours, our cleaning service cleans and disinfects frequently touched objects and surfaces with Lysol.
  • We have hand sanitizer available at multiple locations throughout the dealership and service area.
  • We have adjusted our hours to have a rotating staff schedule to limit their and our customers exposure to any potential harm.
  • We have cancelled all internal group meetings until further notice.
  • Our service advisors, customer care team and technicians will be using gloves and protective materials including wheel, seat and floor mats when in possession of your vehicle. They will also be wiping down all touched surfaces prior to delivering vehicle back to you.
  • Out of an abundance of caution, we encourage all employees with minor potential symptoms to stay or go home until symptom free or as needed consult with their physician.
  • We wash our hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds or use alcohol-based hand sanitizers if soap and warm water are not available.
  • We cover our coughs and sneezes with tissue or sleeve.
  • We have implemented safety nets to assist our employees in providing the safest and healthiest workplace that we are able to.
